The trailer & poster for The Bluff is here and it doesn’t look like the pirate movie you think you know.

Led by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban, The Bluff trades glossy adventure for something saltier, rougher, and more lived-in.
From the first frames, it’s clear this isn’t about swashbuckling charm or romanticized legends. It’s about survival. Power. And the kind of choices people make when the world is nothing but water and consequences.
Set in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of piracy, The Bluff is led by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban, with Temuera Morrison, Safia Oakley-Green, and Vedanten Naidoo rounding out an ensemble built for tension.
The newly released trailer place the ensemble front and center against a harsh, sunburned world — all weathered wood, steel weapons, and unromantic danger. Chopra Jonas commands the frame with a cool, authoritative presence, while Urban brings an unpredictable volatility that keeps every standoff tense. Oakley-Green and Naidoo add a younger, sharper edge to the world, signaling new talent stepping into high-stakes territory. Visually, the first look favors grit over gloss, promising a pirate story driven by performance and pressure rather than legend.
The seas are rough.
The stakes are clear.
And The Bluff is officially on the horizon.
Watch on MGM Prime Video on February 25th.
