We’re mighty proud of the work AGBO’s creative teams did over the past year. But even more than that, we’re excited for what lies ahead.

The end of the year is usually the time when we reflect on all that we’ve accomplished the past 12 months. And this year was especially great: We released two films, traveled all around the world from Brazil to Spain to India and hosted over 15 events in our own downtown Los Angeles HQ. Throughout all our initiatives - from creator competitions to film festivals to our own AGBOVERSE fan community – there was a double digit surge in followers, applicants, viewers, attendees, and well… YOU!
But the best part of what happened in 2025 was laying the groundwork for 2026, with five new productions saying “action” and six releases that will be debuting in the next year. When we think about what lies ahead for the coming year we are giddy with excitement and know you will be, too: Two series Citadel Season 2 and From Season 4, Films like The Bluff and The Whisper Man, Tygo, the new Korean-set Extraction universe chapter, and oh yes, that little Avengers thing, Doomsday.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. As 2025 comes to a close, here are a few milestones that members of the rapidly expanding AGBO team are taking a moment to raise a glass to. Please join us, because like anything, none of this would happen without you, the ABGO fan community.

Starting the year in a legendary way
Joining the ranks of filmmakers like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Alfred Hitchcock, AGBO co-founders and directors Anthony and Joe Russo received one of the most coveted accolades in the entertainment history: a hand and footprint ceremony at the history TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Recognizing their unparalleled contribution to the industry – including 15 number one global openings and over $7 billion in global box office earnings – they are ranked as the third highest grossing directors in history. The gathering at the legendary theater was like any Russo happening; it included many close friends and family. As Joe Russo said on the day, “This moment is as much your moment as it is our moment. Because no story gets told without the help of dozens of dedicated, passionate partners working hand in hand, building a story together, brick by brick.”

Saying ‘Saluti’ to Stanley
Every winter, Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum honors an Italian American Filmmaker with the Renaissance award, someone who has had significant contributions to Italian American heritage and the entertainment industry. This year that spotlight shone on our good friend and frequent collaborator Stanly Tucci (Citadel; Electric State). With over four decades of extensive contributions that range from celebrated films to his own Emmy-winning series Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, he continually inspires. We toasted Tucci in our HQ (with martinis, his favorite cocktail, of course), and also awarded the RBIAFF 2025 Fellowship (five $10,000 grants) to five emerging filmmakers.

A smiling robot named Cosmo took over the world
In this day and age, seeing a 366 foot tall robot head may be cause for alarm. But this past March it was part of a worldwide marathon of movie fun when Las Vegas’s The Sphere became Cosmo, the beloved star of AGBO and Netflix’s The Electric State. Two hundred and seventy miles away, another Cosmo appearance was spotted: This time when L.A.’s Randy’s Donuts swapped their iconic frosted donut with the bright yellow, retro-inspired robot. Elsewhere, paparazzi-friendly bots made by UCLA’s school of engineering joined stars Millie Bobbie Brown, Chris Pratt, Stanley Tucci and Alan Tudyk and directors Anthony and Joe Russo, turning up at NFL Games, WWE matches, shopping malls, and at premiers around the world. Fans also engaged the film’s robots in the award-winning Kid Cosmo game, which was downloaded in record numbers. The Electric State debuted at number one immediately upon release and was featured in the weekly charts of all of the platforms 92 countries around the globe.

Eating pizza and talking shop with our favorite collaborators
Here at AGBO we are so incredibly lucky to work with the most talented artists in the film world. We never get tired of hearing them talk about their careers and their immeasurable contributions to the movies we love. In Pizza Film School Season 3, Anthony and Joe Russo sat down with their longtime collaborators – film editor Jeff Ford, production designer Dennis Gassner, casting director Sarah Finn and more. Each episode is jam-packed with behind-the-scenes tidbits on some of the most iconic films of our time, from Harry Potter: Scorsers’ Stone to Blade Runner 2049 to Captain America. We aren’t the only ones who were eager to watch these guys gab over a slice: The nine-episode season was in the top 1% of all podcasts based on average its first 7-day downloads and was named the Signal Award winner for the Best TV & Film Episode.

Seeing new perspectives with emerging filmmakers
It’s hard to believe that it was five years ago that we launched our first No Sleep ‘Til Film Fest, the intense, yet-so-fun filmmaking competition where emerging storytellers literally have 48 hours to conceive, script, shoot and produce a short film on the prompt of the year. 2025’s prompt was “perspective,” inviting filmmakers to reframe the way stories are told by using an unexpected point of view. Presented by Meta, this year’s NSTFF judges included Simu Liu and Letitia Wright for the first time, along with AGBO executives and all were blown away by the creativity of all the entrants. All No Sleep winners join the AGBO Storytellers Collective, an alumni network which also includes honorees from other AGBO aspiring filmmaker initiatives, including the Russo Brothers Italian American Forum, SANDS International Film Festival and the Slamdance Film Festival Fellowship.

Full Steam Ahead: 5 new productions, 6 new releases
As 2025 wraps up we have hardly had a moment to catch our breath. Since October, AGBO has announced five new productions which will be in full swing in 2026: The supernatural series Prism co-produced and starring Millie Bobbie Brown and Rachel Brosnahan; the Extraction TV series’s cast keeps growing; John Rambo, a new offering from the iconic Rambo franchise; Ordained, a new action thriller starring Colin Farrel – not to mention Citadel Season 2 and From Season 4. And there are currently four AGBO films heading to big screens next year: The Bluff, The Whisper Man, Tygo, an Extraction Korea film and Avengers: Doomsday. (Speaking of Avengers, don’t miss the chance to see Endgame in theaters again in September!)

Here’s to a More Fun in 2026
While our workload may be growing, our hearts remain the same. We are fiercely committed to being an artist-led, award-winning studio that is not only creating the future of entertainment, but nurturing and inspiring the next generation of storytellers. As AGBO’s chief creative officer Angela Russo-Otstot said ““AGBO thrives because every person here brings their curiosity, their courage, and their craft to the table. That collective spirit is our greatest story and I can’t wait to see how we continue to shape it in the year ahead.”
So from our creative family to yours, we are wishing you a wonderful holiday season.
But get some rest: 2026 is gonna be a fun and wild ride.
